Crown Jewel is this Saturday, October 8th! It is our first major performance/competition of the season, and it is surely going to be an amazing day! Students and Chaperones will be obligated from 10:30am to about 11:00pm on the 8th. We are asking for 10-12 parent chaperones to assist with crown jewel! Duties will be general chaperoning, assisting students from place to place, and a select few to help with the front ensemble and drum major podiums. Students, to make sure the concessions stand has the correct amount of food, they're asking if we could please let them know what to expect. This is what you will be wearing underneath your marching band uniform. Bring your marching uniform hung up inside your garment bag when you arrive. - Bring your water jugs with you - Call time is 10:30am in the band room - 11:00am: Continuity warm up/run-through -12:15pm: Transition to band room/begin loading equipment truck/bathroom and snacks - 12:45pm: begin loading busses - 1:10pm: Depart PSLHS -2:10pm: Arrive at VBHS -2:15pm: Unload equipment/use bathroom if needed -2:30pm: Put on full uniform/get instruments out -2:45pm: Line up to go to full warm up -3:00pm: At warm up -3:40pm: Depart warm up to go to stadium - 4:00pm: Perform!!!! - 4:10pm - performance over, head back to buses - 4:20pm - Load truck/put instruments away/relax - 5:00pm - transition to the concessions stand - 5:30pm - eat and relax - 6:30pm - transition to stands to watch remaining bands - 8:40pm - awards ceremony - 9:15pm - load buses - 9:30pm - depart VBHS - 10:30pm - Arrive at PSLHS and unload equipment - 10:45pm - dismissal
