Good morning band family! I hope this post finds we doing well. We have a relatively easy week this week without any extra events outside of our normal schedule, and students get a day off on Wednesday! It is my hopes that we can maximize the time we have together to make the most progress possible, because next week is a busy one! Here’s what to expect this week.
- Wind ensemble will have some special guests with us this week! Dr. Southall (band director at IRSC) has graciously volunteered his time to come and work with us TOMORROW (Monday) in class. Also, Mr. Gardner, who was my first band director, will be out for our after school rehearsal on Tuesday from 2-4pm! Let’s make sure to have pencils for each of these rehearsals and be ready to learn! - Color guard will practice Tuesday and Thursday 2:30-5:00pm. - Indoor percussion will practice Tuesday and Friday, 6:30-9:30pm and 3:30-6:30pm. - Symphonic band will practice Thursday 2-4pm. - Don’t forget your band trip payments! They can be paid online on school pay (link sent out in last weeks news), or in person via cash or check. Each student should have paid $300 if keeping up with band trip payments. If you need to know your balance, please ask me! - Students will be off from school on Wednesday. -indoor percussion Saturday 1-8pm - Next week we have multiple events going on! Band family dinner concert on March 5th in our cafeteria 6pm. Concert MPA on March 7th at vero beach high school, students will leave school at 12pm and return at 9pm.
