Good morning all! As the Booth season is beginning to pick up, I just want to put out a few reminders to ensure that it is being run as successfully as possible! This fundraiser is very crucial for our programs success, and your help is so appreciated and vital! Thanks for all you do!
- Students, please remember that if you sign up for a shift, you need to show up. If you have to arrive late or leave early, please indicate it on the document. - Please remember that students must wear a band shirt, or hoody to the booth! Already a few students have violated the dress code. - All opening and closing procedures are in a binder under the table by the entrance with the black filing cabinet! - Only pslhs band volunteers and students should be in the booth. It’s already a tight space. Thank you for understanding! - All transactions must be logged into the tablet, cash and card. It is strongly preferred that the adults handle all things with the money and tablet. Trusted students may help if it is busy. - No eating in the booth! If you need to eat, just step right outside and eat. Once you’re finished, you may return! - Having fun in the booth is obviously acceptable, but please remember to keep this a professional environment! No rough housing, immature behavior, or foul language should be happening! - Remember to keep the spirits up! The booth is a positive place! No grinches :) Again, thanks for all you do to make this a success!!

In the beginning, mortals and Gods lived harmoniously, keeping the stirring of emotions and power in tow. Each had their role, their presence, and their mission. Those that kneel shall always kneel, and those that stand tall, shall always stand tall. This hierarchy has always been present, even amongst the Gods themselves. That is, however, until the true truth was reviled, not the falsities of following what you have just because you “should”. Zeus was comfortable amongst his kingdom; aligning the starts, the Sun, the wind, the rain, and all mortals in between. There was no questions, only answers. Maybe this is because the questions haven’t been asked. Maybe the questions haven’t been spoken from the correct lips. Maybe the lips of the true divine needed to pose the question. Alas, the world was “calm”, but some could feel the storm coming. Something about the current stage was not set up to last. A young, but motivated Goddess, Athena, was filling her role. Providing wisdom and courage, she prevailed. When war was the question, she was the answer, with a logical yet calm twist. Athena never reacted in a way that was thoughtless or filled with emotion. It was precise, it was logical, and it was honest. By guiding with wisdom and honesty, the mortals felt security. They felt belonging. They felt love. This was within an understandable, yet relatable, grasp for the ones that come and go. Athena didn’t sit high upon the mountain top, she ebbed and flowed, and entranced all those who took notice. The mortals were invested in a sense of security, belonging, and purpose. They were no longer on a lonely island as they have always been between the sun, the moon, and the stars. This purpose led them to giving it all to Athena, doing as she says, without resistance. There must be trust, there must be love. There was. Even the divine took notice. As the mortals on the land were already committed, the Gods of the elements on Earth took notice. The patriarch of the most powerful and abundant element on the earth, Poseidon, was so amused and impressed with Athena’s devotion to love, honesty, and wisdom, he dedicated all of his resources to her in a show of power and admiration. The sea is dangerous, yet beautiful, but above all else is powerful. As the mortals of the Earth, and the Gods of the elements were taking notice…. So was the God of all. The order in which the Chaos was kept at bay, Zeus had the power to make it all unfold. Zeus was NOT happy. Zeus was feeling the opposite of order; Chaos. Athena must be stopped, as the order belonged to ZEUS, not to the mortals. The most impressive display of power was shown for all to witness for all mortals and Gods to see, and almost put everything back into what it always has been. The rebellion must be stopped, and those that have turned away MUST face their actions. There was just one thing stopping them. That is the Truth. That is the love, and that is honesty. This is Athena. As Zeus was flexing his power, Athena thought through how to handle it. She would not be intimidated by the bright colors of Zeus’ metaphorical hide. She would rebel, and she would win. Those that believed in the truth would truly believe. In the end, love and honesty would win. True order would ensue, and things wouldn’t stay how they always have been, but instead become what they truly would always be. Good morning band! We have an exciting week ahead of us, please read closely as there is a lot going on!
